Mayor planning to opposed the 2018 annual waterline rehabilitation

The city council and mayor agreed to suspend a consideration of an ordinance renewing the 2018 Annual Waterline Rehabilitation Project with SKE Construction, LLC, until the December 2018 Baytown City Council Regular Meeting. The Mayor said, “I will vote against this because an issue that was caused at Memorial Baptist Church waterline.” Another Baytown official said; “SKE Construction, LLC, needs to be held accountable for the damages for the waterline and cooler system, that they’re refusing to pay.”

The 2018 Annual Waterline project – Renewal 1 $1,000.000 contract included waterline rehabilitation work primarily using the pipe-bursting method, but that is including the open-trench method as needed.

The contract would be good for 1-year.
