With 1000’s of citizens and roughly 60 vendors in attendance; the party of the fall happened at Bicentennial Park on Saturday.
Mariachi Los Gallitos, H.O.L.A. Ballet Folklorico, Accordion Competition, Grito Preliminaries, Plan Sonidero, Jalapeno and Salsa Contests, Grito Championships, then the main event La Mafia. News Now Baytown reached out to the director of the Grito Fest. Jerry said; “this was a good turn out.” 
The Jalapeno contest had some last second signups, Each competitor had to eat 10 whole jalapeño pepper in one bit. Total of 15 competitors signed up for the challenge The winner of the contest heated up the night for the main event with the controversial ending.
Right after the contest, the stage and park went black as the main event sets foot on the stage. La Mafia makes the return to Baytown. The last time La Mafia visited Baytown in a Concert was in the 80’s. With standing-park only, cheering fans welcomed the hottest band in Mexican Music. NNB lost count on how many songs La Mafia played. But the fans didn’t want the show to end.
La Mafia also got the fans involved in concert having them sing a song.
