Baytown City Council approved the purchase of a Jacobsen HR 700 - 14-foot Bat Wing Mower from Texton, Inc., through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) cooperative contract for $61,787.25.
The new mower will be used for routine mowing at the Wayne Gray Sports Complex. The new unit will replace the 2006 Toro 16' batwing mower which caught fire and was destroyed. The replacement cost is covered by the City's Insurance. The funds Received from the insurance will cover the cost of the new mower. The funding for the item will be reimbursed by the City's Insurance.
