The CC authorized the 1st Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with the Baytown Municipal Development District to fund the Brunson Theater Redevelopment Project. On June 28, 2018, the CC approved a contract with the MDD, which authorized MDD funding up to $1,324,000.00 for the project. The 1st Amendment increases the funding by $37,857.60 to Crain Group, LLC, to add lighting protection, restroom wall demolition, demolition of wall tile and new stucco at the entrance of the building, and modifications to the structural steel to support the main Brunson sign. With this amendment, the total MDD funding obligation for this project is $1,367,857.60.
The source of funds is the MDD Sales Tax. The MMD will consider this item at its upcoming meeting.
