City Council authorized a interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with the City of Grand Prairie

Last Thursday the City Council authorized an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with the City of Grand Prairie. The City of Baytown requested to enter into a cooperative purchasing agreement with Grand Prairie, in order for the City to utilize the Grand Prairie's contracts to purchase materials, goods and services. By entering into the agreement, the City will be able to take advantage of the bids Grand Prairie receives for various goods and services. The City has entered into cooperative purchasing agreements with other government entities in the past in order to take advantage of pricing. There is no cost or liability, fiscal Impact, for the City of Baytown in this agreement. The agreement will be effective when signed by the last party who's signing makes the agreement fully executed and will remain in full force and effect indefinitely.
