1 arrested and charged with felony evading arrested, and 1 arrested over outstanding warrants

On November 11th  at 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an alarm at the Mt. Calvary Church in the 500 block of Atlantic. Upon arrival in the area officer observed a white pick-up truck parked in the park next to the Church and upon seeing the officers they vehicle fled the park. due to the nature if the call and the suspicious behavior of the truck, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle however the driver refused to stop and instead led officers on a chase that would travel throughout the neighborhood and eventually onto Hwy 146. Officers were able to successfully deploy stop sticks which deflated two of the tires on the suspect vehicle however this did not deter the driver and passenger from continuing to flee from officers. The suspects continued in their attempt to elude the officers despite two tires being flat and sparks coming from the rims.  The suspects eventually made their way to the 1000 block of Birdsong where they came to a stop but still refused to follow officers instruction, which resulted in a Police K-9 being deployed. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Tastervain Robinson, struck the K-9 with is door which resulted in one of the officers deploying his department issue Taser which rendered Mr. Robinson temporarily incapacitated and officers were able to take him into custody. The passenger, identified as Shameka Lewis was also taken into custody and later found to have outstanding warrants out of Deerpark and was later transferred to Deerpark. Mr. Robinson was ultimately transported to the Baytown Jail where he was charged with Felony Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Interference with a Police Service Animal.
