Harris County Precinct One Constable human trafficking liaison/advocate to receive award from UN ambassador

Houston - Harris County Precinct One Constable's office is proud and humbled to announce an honor which will be bestowed upon one of our own on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

United Nations Ambassador Farah Zulaikha of the National Council Of Women Of The United States will be honoring Precinct One Human Trafficking Liaison and Advocate Jacquelyn Aluotto with an Ambassador’s Pin.

Aluotto is a true champion fighting every day for victims of human trafficking. She's worked tirelessly over the course of two decades to raise awareness about this epidemic. She is the founder of the 501 (c) (3) "Break The Cycle USA" and creator of Real Beauty Real Women, an advocacy group that promotes awareness of social issues faced by women, men and children facing poverty, domestic violence and sex trafficking.

"I am excited to honor you with this pin, symbolizing your great achievements in the realm of the advancement of women and their inalienable rights," Ambassador Zulaikha recently wrote in a letter to Aluotto.

The Ambassador’s Pin is a blue United Nations pin given by the UN Ambassador in recognition of service and dedication to the tenets and values upheld by the National Council Of Women Of The United States. The NCWUS was founded in 1888 by Susan B. Anthony. The organization was instrumental in gaining women’s suffrage in the United States and has a long history of recognizing exemplary women.

Constable Rosen echos the sentiment behind this award. "Jacquelyn Aluotto is an integral part of our team that consistently identifies and rescues victims of human trafficking. At Precinct One we take a victim-centric approach to fighting this scourge on society. We attempt every day to provide wrap-around services to help the victims escape that life."
