Perry was taken into custody for felony evading, possession of controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm

While some of the CIU team was working with the DEA, the others were working with DPS. On January 16th, CIU and DPS teamed up to conduct a traffic stop on suspects believed to be involved in the sale of stolen firearms. The stop initiated on Beaumont Hwy. with the driver refusing to stop, leading units on a short pursuit. The suspect's vehicle became disabled and the front passenger immediately surrendered. The driver exited with a shotgun and fled on foot where he was quickly captured by K9 Lux.
