Officials issued an Amber Alert for an 8-month-old girl Monday night in areas including Houston and Galveston.
The Texas Department of Public Safety issued the alert
just before 7 p.m., warning that the infant might be in grave or
immediate danger.
Nyla Crockett was last seen in the 4800 block of N.
Galloway Ave. in Mesquite about 11:15 p.m. Friday. She is described as a
black girl with brown hair and eyes.
The alert lists Chernario Crockett as the suspect, a 30-year-old black woman who is 5'6'' tall and weighs 172 lbs. She has brown hair and eyes.
Chernario was last seen in a gray shirt, blue jeans and black or brown boots.
The alert does not make clear whether or how Crockett is related to Nyla. Report any information to the Mesquite Police Department at 972-216-6241.
