Remodeling projects are underway at the Country Terrace Apartments, and according to the management of the property, LCJ Management spent over 8 Million Dollars. Numerous complaints from previous tenants including negative reviews gave the property owners an idea of what they needed to do to make the Apartment Complex liveable again.
According to the complaints, the apartments were infested with bedbugs and roaches, and the floors were starting to cave-in. Country Terrace One was built in 1980.
The main focus point is gutting out of the apartment unit and starting with a fresh new contemporary look with new appliances. For the exterior, new windows and framing around the doors and windows.
We do not know when the construction is complete, but it is a much-needed makeover.
I’ve spoken to a tenant that had their apartment remodeled, and the tenant requested to remain anonymous, she said; “we still have problems with roaches, with everything new in my apartment including the flooring, the roaches between my wall and the exterior wall is still a problem. What the apartment management or owners need to do is call a third-party certified pest control to walk-through and really kill the pest for good. New construction means nothing to the roaches or other pests.
According to Terminix, a female German cockroach lays about 20 to 40 eggs, with an average incubation rate of 28 days, and will produce an estimated four or five oothecae in her lifespan. That’s about 200 offspring. German cockroaches go through six or seven instars before reaching maturity. This development period takes an average of 103 days. Their average adult lifespan for both males and females is typically less than 200 days.
An infestation does normally happen quickly but if the property owners or management does not take care of the problem, here is s simple remedy. Start by purchasing a duster bulb and boric acid, which can be found at most hardware stores. Then, squeeze the duster bulb to spray a thin layer of boric acid along the floors of your kitchen and bathroom. infestations take about two weeks to terminate. A heavy infestation may take up to eight weeks.
