Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an Aggravated Assault – Deadly Weapon.
On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at approximately 7:36 p.m., the victim was shot in the 8600 block of Gustine Lane in Houston, Texas. During the incident, the victim was confronted by the suspect along the roadway. Suddenly, the suspect pointed a pistol at the victim. The victim turned to run away and the suspect opened fire. The victim was struck by the gunfire in the abdomen. While running away, the victim dropped two backpacks that he was carrying. One of the bags contained a pair of Jordan basketball shoes and schoolwork. The other bag (a Michael Kors backpack with brown straps) was also never recovered. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction of travel. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated.
Suspect description: Suspect: Black male, 18-20 years old, approximately 5’09”, average build, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and armed with a pistol.
