All Goose Creek CISD schools will be closed March 16-20, 2020, due to the rising concern over the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19. Local officials have declared a public health emergency for our area. We will continue to closely monitor the situation, and we plan to made a decision about resuming school the following week by Friday, March 20. Please be assured that we will make all decisions with the health and safety of our students and staff as our top priority.
Additionally, the district is preparing online instruction opportunities for our students. We will provide more information about this as soon as possible.
Since we know that unexpected school closures may be a hardship for families, we will offer Grab and Go breakfast and lunch for all children (18 and under) on weekdays, starting Monday, March 16, for lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Breakfast also will be served, starting Tuesday, March 17, weekdays from 8-9 a.m. Children (18 and under) may go to one of the following locations: BaƱuelos, Bowie, Carver, Highlands, Travis and San Jacinto elementaries; Gentry and Horace Mann junior schools and GCM, Lee and Sterling high schools.
