5G LAW PASSED while everyone was distracted with the coronavirus pandemic

In a March 28 post on Facebook user refers to Public Law No. 116-129 and claims the government is taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to distract from the installation of 5G cellular data towers. The technology is the latest upgrade to speed up wireless internet connections

"5G LAW PASSED while everyone was distracted," the post reads. "Signed into law 116-129 on 3-23-2020, that will speed up the installation of 5G and protect profits! Children had to be out of schools for the covert installation. Parents, are you seeing what's happening?"

According to Verizon, 5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology. But users will know it as one of the fastest, most robust technologies the world has ever seen. That means quicker downloads, much lower lag and a significant impact on how we live, work and play. The connectivity benefits of 5G are expected to make businesses more efficient and give consumers access to more information faster than ever before. Connected cars, smart communities, industrial IoT, immersive education—they all will rely on 5G. “In the future, everything is going to be transformed by 5G,” says Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg. “The pace of technological change in decades past has been fast. The only thing we know for sure is that, in the future, it's going to be even faster. We're going to experience a technological shift that will transform people, businesses, and society as a whole.”

In Baytown, there are two sites. One off of East James and the other off of Texas Ave.

So are the baseless conspiracy theories all true or false? Currently, those claims about the new coronavirus and 5G are unfounded, however, earlier Wednesday morning our Chief Editor took a short stroll to both sites, and when he got back home, he said; "all I wanted to do is go lay down. I had a severe migraine headache. However, it was a sinus migraine, because it's that time of the year."

The conspiracy theories could lead to damages for a company, but our chief editor saw small businesses and citizens that live nearby and works around the sites. One of the residents said; "I haven't had a symptom of what's been seen online. I think it's just horse*$#@, that the conspiracy theorist just wants media attention to spread a false narrative around." She continued, "I wish the conspiracy theorist go get a real job and stop the nonsense."

I strongly believe that the conspiracy theorist wants some attention but getting it in the wrong direction. The conspiracy theorist just wants to ruin something that would be better for the community, but that's them, and this is now.

Now the bill was introduced in the U.S Senate on 03/27/2019, was referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on 12/19/2019, the Senate passed with an amendment by a Unanimous Consent on 03/04/2020, then passed in the House without objection on 03/11/2020, it was then presented to President Trump on 03/16/2020, and then the President signed it into law on 03/23/2020.

So, believe what you want about the 5G network. Baytown has two tower sites near each other.
