Splashpad going in at Highlands Park

HIGHLANDS - Even though COVID-19 looming over Harris County, crews are working hard by installing a 2,091 square feet Splashpad at the Highlands Park. The site foreman said; "we should be done installing the Splashpad in 6-weeks."

The Highlands Park is a 12.8 acre park that already offers playgrounds, picnic facilities, exercise station and a 0.3 mile lighted walking trail. You can also enjoy playing tennis or a game of basketball on the lighted court.

According to a spokesperson for Harris County Precinct 2, she said; "A splash pad designed for all to experience, 2,091 square feet of refreshing water and family fun.  Project in full construction phase and will be completed in May 2020." The spokesperson continued; "The cost of the Splashpad was $174,778.48."

The Spashpad to be open by the summer if the KungFlu (I meant COVID-19) virus decides to kick the bucket.
