The budgeted funds will come out of the MDD. The city council approved the proposed ordinance awarding the Tree Planting and Irrigation Project (the "Project") to Environmental Tree and Design, Inc., in the amount of $844,888.83.
The City advertised for bids on May 12, 2020, and May 19, 2020. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on May 21, 2020, at 9:00 am. Invitations for bid were sent to five interested companies with only one attending the pre-bid meeting.
Bids were opened on June 2, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. with only one bid received from Environmental Tree and Design, Inc. This bid encompasses the planting of the remaining 859 trees of the original 1,458 trees that are part of all five phases of the project. The bid includes a two-year warranty on trees and irrigation. The project consists of tree planting, mulching trees, and irrigation to all planted trees.
