Flooding is the Question to be after the Weekend Storms

BAYTOWN - Harris County Flood Warning System at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, said that Baytown had 1.72inch of rain for Goose Creek @ Baker Road. Remember some areas of Baytown can value higher or lower amounts of rainfall. Now, remember we had the storm conditions for Hurricane Hanna. Today, we went back out on West Cedar Bayou @ Garth Road, for few minutes and see if that area had any leftover stormwater.

West Cedar Bayou

We found a little left in the ditches. Now we found more water in another ditch segment compared to the other segments, which means, that the main intersection would be underwater if the storm lingered around for a while longer.

Now we did not go out yesterday or Saturday night to see if that intersection flooded, but the ditches itself tell the story.

So we are uncertain right now if it flooded in that intersection that is prone to flooding.

The question remains wide-open. But we will revisit the area in the next upcoming storms.
