Single-Story Structure Fire of an Abandon House in the 100 Block of Carver Street

BAYTOWN, TEXAS - Early Tuesday morning around 2:50 A.M., on July 14, 2020, Baytown Fire crews rushed over to the 100 block of Carver Street near Lincon Cedars Drive and found a fully involved single-story structure fire. Baytown Engine 3 did the residual pressure and made a fast-defensive attack on the fully involved fire. The powerlines were reported to be laying on the ground, however, it is unknown if the powerlines were live. Baytown Command requested CenterPoint to come to the scene and disconnect the lines for the safety of the fire crews.

The defensive attack operation was initiated when conditions did prevent an interior attack such as when the structure is unsafe for firefighters to enter.

The Baytown Fire crews then did complete a 360-degree walk around. It is one of the most critical tasks to be conducted at an early stage of a structure fire is the performance of a 360-degree walk around.
