Dumpster Fire caused by Baytown local children setting off Fireworks near Dumpster

BAYTOWN - Baytown Fire Companies responded to the Piedmont Apartments on December 26, 2020, around 8:31 p.m., in reference to a dumpster fire. According to dispatch, some of the children were setting off Fireworks near the dumpster.

According to the current ordinance for the City of Baytown; the Discharge of fireworks within the city limits of Baytown, or within 1,000 feet of the city limits, is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $2,000. Fireworks stands are located outside the enforcement zone, so any use of fireworks should take place even farther out.” No injures were reported except for the trash inside the dumpsters.
