BAYTOWN - On January 01, 2021, at 9:16 p.m., fire companies were responding to 1711 James Bowie Drive in reference to heavy smoke in a unit. On arrival, a fire company saw no smoke coming from the exterior of the building. After a quick assessment, the fire company entered a unit and found heavy smoke. Additional resources were called including the Baytown Fire Investigation unit. The fire companies found the heat exhaust from the laundry room overheated and started the fire.
The incident is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
