No officers were injured in this incident.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Graf II and B. Godoy reported:
An on-duty undercover HPD officer was in an unmarked vehicle and traveling near the above address when suspects in a white Chevrolet Malibu fired at least two shots in his direction. Neither the officer nor his vehicle was struck by the gunfire. The suspects then fled the area.
With assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety Air Support Unit, the suspects were located and taken into custody by responding HPD patrol officers. The suspects, identified as Maze and Pruitt, were subsequently charged for their roles in the incident.
