Bradshaw Ditch Drainage Improvements


LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS - Oaks of Clear Creek area is starting to see a $3.5 million Ditch Drainage Improvement. 

GO Bond Project; design of project scope addressed in DR1902 Deer Ridge Buy-out and Overland Flow project that improves Bradshaw Ditch; construction will occur with Southeast Detention Pond DR2101A. Council awarded a design contract to ARKK Engineers on May 11, 2021; a design kickoff meeting was held with ARKK on Friday, May 28, 2021. Currently working on surveying; completing end of July, due to weather.     

The current schedule, as of June 2021, for the Bradshaw Ditch Drainage Improvements project shows design completed from quarter 3 of 2019 through quarter 2 of 2020. Land acquisition is shown in progress from quarter 3 of 2020 through quarter 3 of 2021. Construction bidding is programmed for quarter 4 of 2021. Construction is programmed for quarter 1 of 2022 through quarter 4 of 2022. Construction time is an estimate as each bid is awarded based on cost and time submitted by the contractor. 

The purpose of the project is to increase the capacity and efficiency of Bradshaw Ditch between SH 3 and SH 96, and of Benson’s Bayou going south from SH 96 to League City southern city limit.
