Passmore Retired as GCCISD Director of Communications

BAYTOWN, TEXAS - On July 30, 2021, GCCISD sent out Congratulations to Susan Passmore, Director of Communications, on her retirement. She has 36 years of experience, 18 in Goose Creek CISD. Passmore started her career as a title company escrow officer before embarking on a career in education in 1981, where she taught in La Porte and Deer Park. She joined Goose Creek CISD in 2003 as an assistant principal at Cedar Bayou Junior School. Passmore also served as an academic dean at Lee High School and assistant principal at Horace Mann Junior before accepting the role as publications coordinator in 2013, where she quickly became the assistant director of communications in 2014. In 2019 she became the director of communications.

“I appreciate the opportunities I have had in Goose Creek CISD and the relationship I’ve built with students, staff, and community members. I love our Community Engagement Team and appreciate the different skills that each one of us brought to the table as we worked together to accomplish our goals.”

 After retiring, Susan plans to avoid boredom, striving to exercise regularly, work with real estate, and help with her grandchildren. She and her husband Richard also will enjoy hanging out with their children and spending time at Lake Livingston.
