LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS - Members of the League City Police, Fire, and EMS Departments joined Mayor Pat Hallisey and Councilmembers Chad Tressler, Larry Millican, John Bowen, Justin Hicks, and Congressman Randy Weber at over 30 events in neighborhoods throughout League City for National Night Out on Tuesday, October 5.
League City citizens had a chance visit with officers and members of the K-9, SWAT, and Volunteers In Policing units.
The event also debuted LCPD’s brand new Mobile Command Post.
National Night Out is a yearly event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. League City has participated in the nationwide initiative for the last 30 years.
League City believes the best way to build a safer community is to get to know your neighbors. Neighbors that know each other are more likely to watch out for each other and report suspicious activities.
