Houston police have released a surveillance video of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman at 8940 Cullen Boulevard about 7:55 p.m. on January 16.
The suspect is described only as a black male wearing a white muscle shirt, black pants, red shoes and red boxers or shorts. He is carrying a black backpack. The surveillance video is posted on the HPD YouTube channel at
The victim, Juanisha Wanique Fortune, 32, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Lange and C. Lamont reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an empty lot at the above address and found Ms. Fortune had been shot multiple times. Paramedics transported her to the hospital.
HPD detectives located video surveillance that shows an unknown black male suspect walking southbound on the sidewalk at the above address. The male matches the description given by a witness in the area.
