Traffic Advisory: Downtown Road Closures for Houston Rodeo Ride, Run & Parade

Expect streets to be closed in advance of and during the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Ride, Run and Parade on Saturday, Feb. 29. Streets will reopen after the events finish in the afternoon.  The Rodeo Run wheelchair division begins at 9:10 a.m., followed by the 10K race and 5K fun run/walk. The downtown Houston Rodeo Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Walker at Bagby heading east on Walker, south on Travis, west on Bell, north on Louisiana, west on Lamar, concluding on Lamar at Bagby St. View an interactive map of road closures and the Houston Rodeo Parade route: http://arcg.is/r0qrP

2020 Houston Marathon Weekend Road Closures

From January 18-19, 2020, the City of Houston will welcome runners, visitors and spectators from across the globe to the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, and We Are Houston 5K. As thousands of runners prepare to participate in this year’s events, residents should be prepared ahead of time, to ensure they enjoy their time.

 THUR-SUN | Finish Line

Expect areas around the George R. Brown Convention Center and Discovery Green Park to close for the installation of the Finish Line and related fencing. Closures will include Lamar Street in front of the Hilton Americas and Avenida de las Americas south of Discovery Green Parking Garage.

 FRI-SUN | Start Line

Expect additional areas in the northeast part of downtown to be intermittently or permanently closed until Sunday afternoon for Start Line installation.

SAT | We Are Houston 5K

The We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron will take place beginning at 8 a.m. and will result in street closures between downtown and Midtown from 7- 9:30 a.m.: http://bit.ly/37OdS7T
