On Wednesday night, the Parks and Recreation discussed the update on the Recreation Center Feasibility Plan. The uniquely designed, members-only, 60,000 square-feet, two-story building will house; a nice lobby, a cafe’, babycare center with a play area while you have fun, 2 basketball courts, 2 swimming pools “one for the children and one for the adults,” racquetball courts, first aid room, 2 multi-purpose rooms, a room for the senior citizen to go in and enjoy fellowship or games, elevated track that overlooks the basketball courts that connects to the fitness rooms, Cardio fitness, yoga, locker rooms, showers, staff areas, and an observation deck tooverlook the pools. Outside a detention pond, and tennis courts. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The project can cost between 22.6 million to 31 million dollars, and that is
just the rough estimate.Townhall meeting was scheduled to discuss a little bit more about this issue.
After the town hall meeting, the Parks and Rec board will come back together one more time to talk about this uniquely designed recreational building and decide, then it heads to City Council for approval.
