BFD Training Center Slab Repair Project

The City Council authorized the closeout of the Baytown Fire Training Center Slab Repair Project with Structural Concrete Systems, LLC. The ordinance provides for the acceptance and release of retainage for the Baytown Fire Training Center Slab Repair Project with Structural Concrete Systems, LLC, in the amount of $12,965.27. The original contract amount was $134,490.00, which included $10,000.00 owner's contingency. The scope of work included the removal of most of the defective floor slabs, the removal and replacement of existing select fill under the floor slabs, replacement of defective floor slabs, and some drainage improvements. The cost of the construction was $129,652.65, leaving $4,837.35 in unused funds. The source of funds came out of the Fire District Sales Tax, with the amount needed $12,965.27.
