City Council authorized the interlocal agreement with MDD for the furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the Evergreen Park Clubhouse

The City Council authorized the interlocal agreement with MDD for the furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the Evergreen Park Clubhouse. The renovation of the Clubhouse at Evergreen Park was completed at the end of December and it is expected to be ready for the rentals in April 2019. The staff has planned to use allowances in the renovation project to purchase some of the needed items, however, the renovation of the building was much more extensive as the project proceeded. The funding request will be used to ready the new beautiful facility for rental of weddings, galas, formal dinners and meeting. This project for the purchase and installation of A/V equipment including large screen TV's for presentations, quality sound system, lobby furniture, dressing room furniture and finishing. The project included warming kitchen equipment including a commercial refrigerator, ice machine, warming cabinet, a freezer and portable bar. This includes IT needs and some needed electrical improvements to provide power for bands and exterior lighting. A portable podium and cell phone charging station is included in the project. The cart barn siding is in poor repair and is in need of being replaced. The Parks and Recreation Department uses that storage facility for Christmas decorations and the ice ring tubing. The staff had planned to use contingencies from the parking lot lighting project to purchase siding of the cart barn, however, the funding for the siding was used in the renovation project. The amount of $175,000.00 came out of the operating for the fiscal year 2019.
