Tropical Storm Dorian Forms North of South America

Tropical Storm Dorian is the third named storm of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season and is currently located off the northern coastline of South America. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Dorian may develop into a hurricane as it approaches the Lesser Antilles on Tuesday. While Dorian currently poses no threat to Texas, the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) will continue to monitor the storm until any potential threats have passed. While the threat to our area is low, now is the time for residents to prepare. HCOHSEM will provide updates as needed.
