Three arrested on respective charges

On December 18^th at 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 1200 block of West Texas. The vehicle failed to stop immediately and at one point the officer observed one of the passengers dropped a package out of the window. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop in the parking lot of the library and officers were able to contact the occupants. During the course of stop, officers recovered the package that had been discarded and found it contained several tablets of Oxycodone and a green leafy substance the was determined to be synthetic THC. The driver of the vehicle, Rodney Eligon Sr. was arrested for driving with an invalid license, Rodney Eligon Jr., who discarded the drugs, was arrested and subsequently charged with felony possession of a controlled substance as well as several outstanding local traffic warrants. Another passenger of the vehicle, Erica Delvalle was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Harris County for Aggravated Assault and was also placed under arrest. All three were transported to the Baytown Jail where they were booked on their respective charges.
