Houston Firefighters arrived on January 16, 2020, at 9:12 a.m., a scene at the 7600 block of Joplin St to find smoke coming from a house and began an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and ventilated the home. The utilities were secured by the utility companies and the fire was extinguished. Once HFD Arson investigators concluded their investigation, crews conducted salvage and overhaul. The occupant stated that she smelled smoke and saw a fire in the hallway where the washer and dryer were located. She got out of the home and suffered a minor injury. Firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 29, 36 and 24 responded to this incident. The Fire Marshalls office ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators.
