House Fire in The Eldridge / West Oaks Area

Firefighters arrived at the 13200 block of Ascot Glen Ln on February 20, 2020, at 12:01 a.m. with smoke coming from a one-story home with a report of one person still inside the house. The crews began an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. One individual was found and transported to the hospital. The fire was extinguished and a secondary search was completed with no one else found. Firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul and the homeowner was escorted inside to retrieve items. Crews from Stations 78, 75 and 86 responded to this incident. 

1 injured from a house fire in Houston

Houston Firefighters arrived on January 16, 2020, at 9:12 a.m., a scene at the 7600 block of Joplin St to find smoke coming from a house and began an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and ventilated the home. The utilities were secured by the utility companies and the fire was extinguished. Once HFD Arson investigators concluded their investigation, crews conducted salvage and overhaul. The occupant stated that she smelled smoke and saw a fire in the hallway where the washer and dryer were located. She got out of the home and suffered a minor injury. Firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 29, 36 and 24 responded to this incident. The Fire Marshalls office ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators.

House Fire in The Briar Forest Area

Houston Firefighters arrived on location at 2000 block of Woodland Springs St, on January 05, 2020, at 3:40 p.m to find smoke coming from a one-story home. The house had a power-line pole fall onto the roof with live wires contacting the house. The electrical current caused arcing and a fire ignited an electrical outlet in the kitchen, causing the cabinets to catch fire. The crews turned the power off to the house and extinguished the fire. Firefighters from Stations 83, 2, 78, 69, 10, 57, 86 and 75 responded to this incident. One firefighter injured knee and was transported to the hospital. The cause of the fire was unintentional.
