Presentation of the Chief's Life-Saving Award to Officer Bryce Perkins and Reserve Officer Kevin Zinter

A call was broadcast concerning a female attempting to commit suicide by hanging herself.  Officer Perkins and Reserve Officer Zinter advised they were en-route to the call.  Upon their arrival at the chaotic scene, Officer Zinter began CPR on the juvenile female who was not breathing, blue-faced, and cold to the touch.  Officer Zinter obtained a breathing bag from a medic who was on the scene and began to operate the bag while Officer Perkins took over chest compressions.  While administering CPR the juvenile began to gain color.  After several more minutes, the juvenile showed to have a pulse and was breathing with the help of a compression machine.  Officer Perkins and Reserve Officer Zinter's heroic efforts to save a human life bring great credit upon themselves, the Baytown Police Department and are in the highest traditions of the Law Enforcement Service.
