Mayor Sylvester Turner and Team Apache will lead participants in the 2020
Tour de Houston Presented by Apache
Corporation. Cyclists of all skill levels will gather at City Hall on
Sunday, March 15th as the event returns for its 15th year
to benefit the Re-Plant Houston Program managed by the Houston Parks and
Recreation Department. Riders will follow an all-new route
this year heading northwest through Spring Branch, Fairbanks and Copperfield to
Cypress before returning downtown. The
20-mile route will stop at Lion Lane School, the 40-mile route will stop at Lee
Elementary School and the full 60-mile route will stop at Thornton Middle
School. This event begins and
ends in Hermann Square at City Hall located at 901 Bagby. Riders and volunteers
will enjoy a post-ride party that includes music, free food and beverages.
