Recently, Harris County Precinct 2 put in brand new walking trails at the park to promote health and fitness in Harris County.
J.D. Walker Community Center/Edna Mae Washington Park is a 28.99-acre park located north of I-10 East and next to the J.D. Walker Community Center.
This recreational area is named after Edna Mae Washington, who was a long time resident and community leader in the area.
The Park has traditional park amenities including 0.7 mile lighted jogging trail, multi-functional green space, full-sized lighted basketball pavilion and equestrian area. Kids will enjoy cooling down in Spray Park.
You can enjoy the new walking trails and the park, 7-days a week, 7:00am to 10:00pm.
