City Council Approved the closeout of Hunt Road Expansion East of Garth to N. Main and West from San Jacinto to John Martin


City Council approved the closeout, acceptance and final pay estimate for release of retainage in the amount of $402,193.91 to Angel Brothers Enterprises, LTD, for the Hunt Road Expansion East of Garth to N. Main St. and Hunt Road West from San Jacinto Blvd. to John Martin Road Project.





This project completes Hunt Road from John Martin Road to N. Main.  The scope included a four-lane concrete boulevard with paving, drainage, utilities, landscape, and illumination. The original contract price was $8,333,430.15. There were two change orders resulting in a revised contract amount. The first change order in the amount of $247,151.00 added the construction of a 12-inch water line on John Martin Rd. to loop water service from IH-10 to Hunt Rd. The second change order was deductive, in the amount of ($73,000.00) to remove 18-months of landscaping maintenance. The total revised contract amount was $8,507,581.15.  





The project was completed for a total amount of $8,043,878.21 and returns $463,702.94 in unused funds.
