City Council voted to approved the construction contract with Kraftsman L.P., for the Parks Service Center Building Project

City Council voted to approved the construction contract with Kraftsman L.P., for the Parks Service Center Building Project through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) in the amount of $1,226,977, of which $10,000 is an owner's contingency.

In September 2018, the City approved a contract with Kraftsman L.P., for the purchase and installation of an engineered metal building through the BuyBoard.  Since that time, it was determined that certain services for the Parks Service Center Project were absent from the scope of work.  Therefore, the parties have agreed to terminate the former agreement and enter into a new agreement through the BuyBoard.  Under the former agreement, the City spent $39,030.18 on the plans to design the building.  Such a design will be used in the project, which has been permitted.  The proposed contract will entail the construction of the project, including all site work.

The budgeted funds will come out of the Captial.
