City Council approved the proposed ordinance authorizes the recurring payment to Axon Enterprise Inc., f/k/a Taser International, Inc., for the Police Department's Body-Worn Camera Replacement Program, in the amount of $120,433.40.
On April 13, 2017, City Council approved Ordinance No. 13,449, which authorized, through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard), the purchase of one hundred ten (110) body-worn cameras, its related equipment and an all-inclusive unlimited data storage plan for the Police Department, to Axon Enterprise Inc., f/k/a Taser International, Inc. Six (6) additional body-worn cameras and related equipment/storage were purchased in FY19. This is the recurring yearly payment.
The source of funds will come out of the 2020 operating budget.
