City Council Approved the FCPEMSD FY 2020-21 Budget

BAYTOWN - The city council approved the Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District budget.

As set forth in state law, the City Council must approve or reject the budget adopted by the FCPEMSD Board at least 30 days before the beginning of the fiscal year. The City Council may not amend the budget. If the City Council rejects the budget, the City Council and the FCPEMSD Board shall meet and together amend and approve the budget before the beginning of the fiscal year.

The FCPEMSD Board adopted the budget on June 16, 2020, and the City Council held a public hearing regarding the FCPEMSD Budget at its meeting held on July 9, 2020.
