On July 18th at 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Village Lane Apartments in the 4600 block of Village Lane. Upon arrival, officers observed one of the parties involved in the disturbance walking away from the scene and when officers instructed him to stop, he fled from the officers, running through the complex. Officers were able to catch the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Adaryll Jackson, who officers were familiar with from previous encounters of similar nature. During the investigation, officers learned that Jackson and the complainant had been in a verbal altercation which turned physical with Jackson assaulting the complainant by striking her with a vacuum cleaner and then striking her with a closed fist. Jackson was subsequently transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked and charged with Class A Assault and Evading Detention through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
