Mayor presented a Proclamation Designating August 26, 2020, as Women's Equality Day

The proclamation recognizes that women are an essential part of the political, economic, and social fabric of the country.  All American women, regardless of the role they place in the workforce and at home, contribute to the success of this country.

In addition to being homemakers, caregivers, mothers, counselors, and a host of other important roles, women fill critical jobs in every sector of the economy, contributing to the financial welfare of families and the country.

On Women's Equality Day, all women are honored for contributing to the improvement of the country and the American way of life through their talent, hard work, and commitment to the betterment of their families, communities, and nation.

Councilmember Alvarado and Councilmember Betancourth accepted the proclamation.
