Suspect charged with Resisting Arrest

BAYTOWN - On September 6th at 9:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of an unwanted guest in the Foodtown in the 1700 block of Decker Drive. Upon arrival, officers contacted the complainant and learned that the suspect, identified as Arturo Bueno of Baytown, had left the store and was now at the park on Price Street. Officers were aware the Bueno had an outstanding felony warrant for Assault on a Police Officer and therefore went to the park to locate him. Once at the park officers observed Bueno standing in the park with a long stick in his hand that had been sharpened on one end. Officers began giving Bueno commands to drop the weapon, which he refused to do as he began to walk away. Officers continued with their commands and were eventually able to distract Bueno and effectively take him to the ground, where he continued to physically resist officers’ attempts to place him under arrest. After a short struggle officers were ultimately able to secure Bueno in handcuffs and take him into custody. Bueno was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on the Felony Warrant and a fresh charge of Resisting Arrest.
