Brief Foot Pursuit Started at Methodist Hospital and Ended at Burger King

UPDATE: NNB News obtained a press release from the Baytown Police Department, Sergeant Kelly said; On Wednesday, November 24th at 8:00 p.m., a patient under an emergency detention order attempted to leave Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital, located at 4401 Garth Road.  Baytown Police assisted the medical staff in locating the patient a short distance from the hospital.  The patient was brought back to the hospital for treatment."

BAYTOWN - On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. a brief foot pursuit started at Baytown Methodist Hospital of a male patient still wearing hospital gown/scrubs. The male patient ran towards Mc Donalds located on Garth and Baker. Baytown Police were able to chase down the patient and detain him at Burger King. The foot pursuit lasted less than 2 minutes. 

During that pursuit, a vehicle was traveling down the wrong side of Baker, and the officer conducted a traffic stop in the Buds BBQ parking lot. 

No injuries were reported.
