City Council APPROVED the Amending the City of Baytown's 2020-21 Tourism Partnership Grant Program Allocation for the Bayou Bowl

The City Council approves in the amending of Ordinance No. 14,531 regarding the City of Baytown's 2020-21 Tourism Partnership Grant Program allocations to increase the allocation for the 2021 Bayou Bowl by $13,000.

On October 8, 2020, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 14,531 to allocate hotel occupancy tax revenues to various organizations that submitted applications for participation in the City's Tourism Partnership Grant Program.  The Greater Houston Football Coaches Association ("GHFCA"), one of the grant recipients, has requested additional funding and such request was presented to the Baytown Municipal Development District ("MDD").  On December 3, 2020, the Board of Directors of the MDD agreed to enter into an interlocal with the City to provide an additional $13,000.  Therefore, this ordinance amends the Ordinance No. 14,531 as it pertains to the funds to be received by the GHFCA, to increase its funding allocation from $12,000 to $25,000 for the Bayou Bowl, which will be held June 9 -- 12, 2021.
