CoB City Council receive recognition from the Scenic City Certification Program for achieving a Certified Scenic City Bronze status.

The City of Baytown is one of nineteen cities in Texas that have been recognized as a 2020 Certified Scenic City award recipient through the Scenic City Program and one of eighty-five cities in Texas currently certified as a Texas Scenic City. The program is a statewide nonprofit and partners with eighteen organizations.

The mission of the Scenic City Certification Program is to support and recognize Texas municipalities that implement high-quality scenic standards for public roadways and public spaces.  The Scenic City Certification Program provides a proven, highly-regarded tool to Texas cities for assessment, evaluation, and recognition of infrastructure standards.  The Scenic City Certification Program is a nationally recognized, one-of-a-kind model, developed to provide communities with a comprehensive set of standards and evaluations for the design and development of public roadways and spaces.
