Microwave-oven Fire on Birdsong Drive (with scanner audio file)

BAYTOWN - Fire Companies rushed to 1017 Birdsong Drive at the Birdsong Place Villas in reference to a Microwave Fire, on December 17, 2020, around 4:28 p.m. 

Upon the arrival of Engine 1 Fire Company, the apartment complex was not evacuated and no smoke was showing from the exterior. The fire company quickly found the suspected apartment unit and found a fire in the microwave oven.   

Engine 1 Fire Company disregarded further responding units. Engine 1 quickly handled the incident. 

Engine 1 was on location in less than 60-seconds. No injuries were reported.
