Confirmed Sighting of a Tornado seen east of Galveston

GALVESTON, COUNTY - Evening Storms came into Galveston County living an uncertain on if the tornado made a touchdown near Crystal Beach or a couple of weak waterspouts. According to sources on Facebook, those sources said; "seek shelter immediately was ordered." 

A tornado warning was issued from the NWS, for Southeastern Texas at 6:44 p.m. and expired at 7:50pm on Monday, August 03, 2021. 

According to multiple news sources, there was a confirmed tornado over Crystal Beach. No injuries or property damage were reported, by the time of the release of this article.

Galveston, TX is a Moderate Risk area for tornados. According to records, the largest tornado in the Galveston area was an F4 in 1961 that caused 200 injuries and 8 deaths. *Tornado risk is calculated from the destruction path that has occurred within 30 miles of the location.
