HOUSTON - On July 30, 2021, at 5:44 p.m., Houston Fire Department was dispatched to the 1400 block of Lakecliff in reference to a residential structure fire. According to the press release, Firefighters arrived on the scene within six minutes to find fire coming from the side of a 1-story house. They extinguished the fire without difficulty. A primary search was completed with no one found. The family had safely gotten out of the home prior to HFDs arrival. It appeared lightning struct and caught a nearby tree on fire. The fire traveled to the house's roofline causing significant roof and attic damage as well as to the entire home.
There were no reported injuries in this incident.
