On March 16th at 4:11 p.m., officers conducted an attempt to locate on a wanted subject, 24-year-old Christen Smith of Crosby, at the Quality Inn located in the 5200 block of Interstate 10. Upon arrival, officers located Smith inside his room and he was taken into custody for his outstanding Parole Violation Warrant, which was issued out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. During the arrest, Smith was also found to be in possession of approximately 6 grams of suspected methamphetamine. As a result, Smith was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on the outstanding warrant, as well as a new charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
