Cigarette theft at Walmart, BPD investigating

On March 13^th at 3:24 a.m., officers responded to a report of theft at the Wal-Mart located in the 4900 block of Garth Road. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant, a store employee, who advised a black male had entered the store, walked over to the cigarette area at one of the registers and placed several cartons of cigarettes into a tote basket and fled the store without paying for them, fleeing in an unknown make and model vehicle. Detectives are investigating.
